Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research concluded its participation in the third edition of the World Defense Show (WDS 2026), held in Riyadh with wide participation from local and international entities specialized in the fields of defense, security, and military industries, under the theme "National Technologies for Sustainable Security".
The Center's participation came within its efforts to support the defense research and innovation ecosystem, empower national talent, and enhance integration between academic, research, and related sectors, contributing to developing national capabilities in the fields of security and defense in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Through three specialized pavilions, the Center showcased its journey in supporting defense research and studies from concept to application, alongside highlighting its role in empowering researchers and innovators, supporting national research projects, and converting scientific research outputs into practical applications serving the defense and security sectors.
The participation included showcasing a number of research and technical projects and products, in addition to highlighting the initiatives and projects supported by the Center at national universities and academic and research institutions, reflecting its efforts in enhancing the innovation environment and stimulating research and development in fields of national priority.
The participation also featured a knowledge presence through contributing to a number of panel discussions and specialized workshops accompanying the exhibition, which addressed topics related to modern technologies, empowering national capabilities, supporting innovation, and reviewing experiences and practices in the defense and security fields.
The Center's participation resulted in signing (11) cooperation agreements with a number of specialized national entities, in addition to holding numerous professional meetings aimed at enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and building partnerships that support the research, development, and innovation ecosystem.
This participation embodies the Center's role in supporting applied research and empowering national talent, by providing a stimulating research environment that contributes to developing advanced solutions and technologies, enhances technical and security readiness, and opens new horizons for future cooperation and partnerships in the fields of security and defense
