H.E. the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KACST and Chairman of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDIA), Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, accompanied by H.E. the Governor of CST, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, visited Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research.

They were received by the Center's Director General, Dr. Sami bin Mohammad Al-Hamaidi, alongside senior engineers.

The delegation received a detailed briefing and guided tours showcasing the Center's research and technical outputs in defense and security. Demonstrations included defense products from the Autonomous Vehicles Lab and the Radar and Communications Systems Lab.

They also reviewed technologies from the Electro-Optics Systems Lab — including the "Watan Shield" system, radar systems, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) — alongside future lab projects.

It is worth noting that Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research is a specialized center in R&D within advanced defense systems and technologies. It aims to support national directives in applied defense research and technical development to contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030, building a solid foundation for research and technical development for qualitative defense systems, and supporting national military industries by enhancing human capabilities in this sector to achieve national sovereignty in defense and security. The Center has achieved remarkable milestones in various fields, including autonomous systems, radar surveillance and reconnaissance systems, and electro-optics.
